HomeSlip

The research

The daily report card is a researched, recommended support.

It is one of the most studied non-medication approaches for helping a child meet behavior and attention goals at school.

What it is

A short list of specific, observable goals a teacher rates each day. The ratings go home, where the family provides agreed, same-day reinforcement. The goals step up as the child succeeds. Decades of behavioral research support this home–school loop, and it appears in guidance from sources that families and clinicians trust.

  • Recommended as a classroom support in many 504 plans and IEPs.
  • Described in public guidance from the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics on classroom behavior support.
  • Studied for decades in the behavioral literature on home–school interventions.
HomeSlip implements this approach. It supports daily behavior goals and home–school communication. It does not treat, diagnose, measure, or improve any medical condition, and it is not a substitute for care from your child’s clinician or school.
